That little spark
Haven't blogged for a while... internet capped, so everything was going slowly. Even facebook. FACEBOOK. I nearly died. Now that the internet is getting better again (I think), I can post stuffs! It was been another great week... holidays are just ace. I have a few random pics to put up... so I'll keep the post shorter and share those photos that were taken throughout the week. My baking adventure is still going on (YES!) and I have been catching up on a lot of movies. Just recently saw PS I Love You, Superbad, Baby Mama... they were all quite all right, though Superbad got boring. Others were chick flicks... so thumbs up regardless! Muahaha... love chick flicks.
Another horror movie night took place at Mal's just last week (seems like a century ago now...) and we played some Jenga with her brother. Fun stuffs! Though the movie night turned out quite unscary... so that was really, utterly disappointing. I was quite scared of Dark Water though (Japanese horror)... and kept imagining water seeping through my roof *gulps*... creepy.
This is what we made of Jenga... actually, it was all Elmer... I only made the hair.
And... did anyone say baking? YES! Here it is, my newest yet another puff pastry creation, Cheeesy Berry Puffs! Recipe is off the net... I'm not creative like that. Sigh. It tasted quite good... forgot to add sugar... so the cheese was very cheesy and not too sweet. A good turn out actually!
Anyway... now finally relating to my post title, I received a Xmas card from my Japanese friend who is now studying in Canada. She's going back to Japan for Christmas, though she's been in Canada for about 6 months now. Her name is Yuuki. My little Jap friend, she's an awesome person who is very eager to learn English. She has studied abroad a lot of English speaking places... first was here, where we met, and then New Zealand last year, and now Canada. Amazing. I wished I was doing what she was doing... I'll be going to places that don't speak English! Japan! Korea! France! Spain! Oh My God... I can't wait to go traveling soon again.
Her card came as a surprise, and it just brightened up my day. I love it how little things like that really adds a lovely touch to anyone's day. I get so excited when I receive mail. Old fashioned, out dated etc... but it's still the best. SO MUCH BETTER than receiving an email. Teehee. Ahhh... I feel really lucky to have friends like Yuuki... even though we don't have much contact due to distance, we still maintain a friendly, caring relationship. I feel that I'm probably not putting as much effort into it though... which saddens me. Now that it's holidays... I'll make it up. I received my special spark today... hope everyone else had too!
Hui Hui ^^b
